Our office is located on the 3rd floor of the North Bay Professional Pavilion on Rt. 40 in Elkton, Maryland. Please arrive 15 minutes early to your appointment time to fill out new patient paperwork and be checked-in by our front desk staff, so you can be seen by the physician in a timely manner.
Insurance and Payment
Our office welcomes many types of medical insurance, and our insurance and payment coordinator will be happy to assist you in determining what type of benefits are available to you through your insurance plan. Payment arrangements for account balances are due at the time services are rendered, so please bring your insurance card with you to your first visit. We accept many forms of payment, including cash, major credit cards, and financing throught CareCredit.
If you have lingering questions concerning the financial aspect of your visit, our office administrators are on-hand during our regular business hours to answer your questions and address your concerns.
All surgical procedures are provided on-site in our fully certified and accredited Upper Bay Surgical Center. To obtain the absolute highest level of safety, our operating facilities are accredited by AAAHC. AAAHC accreditation is a voluntary process that symbolizes our commitment to providing high-quality health care by ensuring that our services are in compliance with nationally recognized standards. Our surgical suites are staffed by board certified anesthesiologists, registered nurses and operating room technicians. The process of scheduling, pre-operative testing, actual procedure, and recovery is a smooth, well-orchestrated series of events.
When your procedure date is scheduled by Dr. Scheiner’s office, we will pre-register you at Upper Bay Surgery Center, to make your check-in on the day of as easy and efficient as possible. Upper Bay Surgery Center has their own insurance verifiers that will check your insurance coverage for the procedure and contact you if they need additional information or if there is a payment due to the facility. Facility charges are separate from the surgeon’s fees, as well as any anesthesia fees and/or fees for pathology labwork involved with your surgery.
